Is it normal to keep going like a dead man walking? Through a desert filled with the scorching rays of an unforgiving sun, I have been running and running. Yet, the sight of sandy horizons seem to know no end. My lungs breathlessly scream out for water in between my irregular cadence.
I am tired and my legs are fatigued beyond compare. But I want to see it through to the end, even when the end does not seem near. This harsh landscape spans beyond where my eyes can see, and my body is paying the price. I thirst for water—for rest and help to continue my journey.
For this exhaustion eats away at my time and energy. Remember this. To stop now would mean death. After all, there is no one else out here to help you when you collapse and bury yourself in the sand.
It is difficult to keep going on like this.
